You can't go wrong getting strong
Strength is more than muscle — it’s the foundation for every healthy, functional body. In this workshop, we’ll explore the science behind muscle mass, why it’s vital for long-term wellness, and how to safely and effectively help your clients build strength through Pilates.
You’ll gain a practical understanding of the anatomy behind key movements, learn how to engage muscles more efficiently, and discover the many benefits of strength for balance, bone density, and overall performance.

A framework for implementing progressive loading in PilatesÂ
Strength doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built through intentional, intelligent progression. This workshop gives Pilates teachers a clear, practical framework for applying progressive loading so you can confidently guide clients toward meaningful strength gains without compromising the integrity of the method.
Progressive loading is more than “adding a spring” or “making it harder.” It’s about understanding how the body adapts, how tissues respond to stress, and how to layer challenge in a way that respects individual capacity. You’ll learn how to recognize when a client is under-challenged, appropriately loaded, or approaching overload, and how to adjust variables to create safe, sustainable growth.

Motor learning theory & skill acquisition
Unlock the science behind how people learn movement—and transform the way you teach.
In this practical, easy-to-apply workshop, you’ll dive into the essential principles of motor learning and skill acquisition that directly impact how clients understand, retain, and refine Pilates techniques. Whether you’re helping a brand-new beginner find their footing or guiding an advanced mover toward mastery, the strategies you’ll learn will elevate every cue, exercise progression, and movement sequence you teach.

AOPÂ evergreen workshop FAQs
Do I have to complete the workshops in a certain time frame?Â
No! Once you purchase a workshop you have access to it forever. The goes for all AOP courses
What if I need more help applying what I learned in any of the AOPÂ workshops to the studio?
You can always pair any course with 1:1 mentoring! This is a great way to not only understand how we can bridge the gap between research and practice but also allows you to personalize your AOPÂ workshop experience and connect with other instructors working in the industry
Are all workshops fully asynchronous?
Yes! All evergreen workshops are fully asynchronous. Everything can be done on your own time!Â

 How are AOP courses different?
At AOP we focus more on how concepts can help us better understand movement. So, rather than memorizing origins, insertions, and actions we talk about how muscles move at different joint angles, how two joint muscles work differently than single joint muscles, how we get stronger, learn movement skills, etc. We combine this with a basic understanding of exercise science principles to give learners a relevant understanding of how these concepts are useful. We go beyond the textbook and make anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise science a living thing.
